Pineapple Bliss Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Add crushed pineapple (with juice) and mix well.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a separate mixing bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until creamy.
Gradually mix in confectioners’ sugar and beat until smooth.
When the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Frost the cake with the cream cheese frosting while it is still warm.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the frosting (if desired).
Serve and enjoy!
